Iran is prepared to reinitiate nuclear discussions with Washington provided that it is handled with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat said solely negotiations was effective, and revealed fresh requests had originated from mediators to restart negotiations with the American leadership. He said Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to inspect struck enrichment centers for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Course

Araghchi is walking a challenging route since Iran wishes not to be seen to be acting from a position of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more resilient militarily and mentally from the Israeli-US attack on its atomic facilities in June.

Subsequently, European countries employed their right to reinstate UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Tehran representatives stated they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was agreed an local partnership with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was solely for peaceful purposes.
